Republic Day Celebrations

The National Degree College, Basavanagudi, Bangalore celebrated the 66th Republic Day of the nation on 26.01.2015 . The chief guest of  the event was Prof. T.G.Raghavendra, former Prof of Chemistry & Principal of National  College, Basavanagudi. The other important guests were Dr. A.H.Rama Rao  and Prof. S.Nagaraj Reddy, President & Secretary of NES. It was a dignified function on a bright day and was well attended. 

Grand Felicitation for Dr.A.S.Kiran Kumar

On 19.01.2015, the Management, the Staff & the students of the National College, Basavanagudi felicitated Dr. A.S.Kiran Kumar, an alumnus of the college who has recently assumed office as Chairman, ISRO.   Dr.A.H.Rama Rao, President of NES welcomed Dr. A.S.Kiran Kumar to a packed audience. This was followed by a heart warming felicitation of Dr. A.S.Kiran Kumar by D. A.H.Rama Rao. Dr. Kumar's address to the gathering was scintillating and made every student proud to be an Indian.

Academic Leadership for Teachers

A Training programme was conducted for the teachers of the college under the auspices of the Faculty Training Academy & Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the College on 17.01.2015. The programme revolved around the theme of 'Academic Leadership'. It was inaugurated by Dr. A.S.Ananthanarayana, Director, College Development Council, Bangalore University. Dr. A.H.Rama Rao, President, NES, Karnataka presided over the Inaugural Session.
The two Resource Persons were Prof. Jaya Indiresan, a free lance consultant in various Capacity Building Initiatives in both Education and Developmental Sectors & Dr. K.G.Uma, former Dean of Sociology, Bangalore University, at present teaching the PG students of Sociology in our college. The programme was well-received by the teachers giving them an opportunity to discuss issues related to academics.

Swami Vivekananda's Birth Anniversary

Under the auspices of the National Service Scheme, National Degree College, Basavanagudi, Bangalore, a function was organized to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 14th January 2015. Prof. N.V.Narasimhiah, Former Professor of History, APS College, Bangalore was the Chief Guest. Prof. Narasimhiah introduced students to the nuances of Swami Vivekananda's life. The lecture was enlightening and helped students focus on the message that Swami Vivekananda gave society which is relevant even today.

Information to PG students about End Semester Examination- January 2015

                                                                                     

Students must pay the Examination fees for the End Semester Examination of January 2015 on the following days:

i.                   I & III Semesters MA:                    12.01.2015

ii.                 I & III Semesters M.Sc & M.Com: 13.01.2015

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಬಸವನಗುಡಿ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಚರ್ಚಾವೇದಿಕೆ ಇಂದು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕು. ಎಚ್.ಎಂ. ವನಿತಾ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ 12ನೇ ರಾಜ್ಯಮಟ್ಟದ ಅಂತರ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಕನ್ನಡ ಚರ್ಚಾಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯ, ವಾಸ್ತು ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಂಬದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆತ್ಮಶಕ್ತಿ, ಬುದ್ಧಿಶಕ್ತಿ, ದೇಹಶಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದ ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಗಳು ನೀವಾಗುತ್ತೀರಿ ಎಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೂ ಕೂಡ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ನಿಲುವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುವ ಮನೋಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು, ಆ ನಿಲುವು ಜನಪರ, ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪರವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.

 ಹಿರಿಯ ವಕೀಲ ಹಾಗೂ ವಕೀಲರ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಮಲ್ಲೇಶಯ್ಯ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ಪುತ್ರಿಯ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 

(ಅಕಾಲಿಕ ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ತುತ್ತಾದ) ಚರ್ಚಾಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳಲ್ಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ವೈಚಾರಿಕತೆ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಚರ್ಚಾಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ.ಎಂ. ಲೀಲಾವತಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆ ಅತಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ. ಯಾರು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿಚಾರ ಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೋ ಅವರು ಗೆಲ್ಲುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಚರ್ಚಾಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆಯ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಹೆಚ್ಚುಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಅವಿಭಕ್ತ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳು ಉಳಿಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪದವಿ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ 46 ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ 80ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ವಾಸ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ಕೆಡಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ 30ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ 60 ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಗಳು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ಚರ್ಚೆಯನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಿ, ವಾಕ್ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು.

ಪದವಿ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರೂರಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಕನಕಪುರ ಪಾರಿತೋಷಕ ಪಡೆದರೆ, 

ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಪಾರಿತೋಷಕ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ಟ್ ಜೂನಿಯರ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪಾಲಾಯಿತು.

ಸಂಜೆ ನಡೆದ ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಎಜುಕೇಷನ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿಯ ಕುಲ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಎಚ್.ಕೆ. ಮೌಳೇಶ್, ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಿನ್ಸಿಪಾಲರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ| ಸಿ. ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಪದವಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಉಪ ಪ್ರಾಂಶಪಾಲರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಆರ್. ಮುತಾಲಿಕ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪ್ರದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
